RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and maintain interface with IT infrastructure and service delivery teams for the delivery of networked systems and sundry end user requirements.
•Co-ordinate the location's IT support staff for problem ownership, resolution and escalation advice to end-users.
•Custodian of all IT/Telecoms site construction drawing for the
permanentIT/Telecoms infrastructure.Ensure that drawings are updated with approved changes
•Manage site IT/Telecoms construction activities for the followingIT/Telecommunications systems
•Telephone exchange and peripheral system
•Data communications system
•point-point Microwave transmission within IOGP/ Microwave transmission to Backbone
•Cabling (SOC, FOC)
•CCTV/intruder alarm system
•PAGA/CATV/mobile radio
•Telecommunications Tower and associated aviation lighting system, lightening protection
•UPS/inverter
•Marine craft radio
•Air watch radio and Beacon system
•Video conferencing
•xDSL
•Co-ordinate the various IT Project engineers responsible for the implementation of the various systems
•Provide weekly project progress report.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION
•Degree in a relevant Technical discipline (Telecommunication Engineering, Electronic/Electrical Eng., Computer Sciences etc)
•Minimum 5 years experience with IT project Management, supporting IT systems and end-users
•Knowledge of Group, Nigerian and International IT standards.
•Familiarity with IT support environment in the oil and gas sector is considered an advantage.
•Well-developed personal relations and communications skills are paramount for success. Inter-cultural awareness, leadership and team integration abilities are a requirement.
•Ability to effectively function in a multi-discipline, multi-ethnic environment.
•Good interpersonal and negotiating skills.
