MANAGING DIRECTOR WITH A MULTNATIONAL

Job Opportunity for a Managing Director

amongst others, Norway, Argentina, Spain and Venezuela . Group
headquarters are in Abingdon, United Kingdom.

Position: Managing Director, Nigeria.

Job Description:

o Strategy/Planning: Work with the board of directors to define and
establish the company's oil and gas strategy and related business
plan.
o Manage operations to achieve established goals and targets in
addition to developing and refining processes to improve customer
service, and reduce costs
o Put in place appropriate business plans and budgets to ensure
profitability and cash generation.
o Build and maintain an excellent team and organisation which
supports high levels of growth and customer satisfaction
o Ensure the business operates with integrity and in a manner
consistent with the UN Global Compact and with Corporate Social
Responsibility.
o Implement a full staff training programme is in place to ensure
skill gaps are eliminated and personal development improves on an
ongoing basis.

Qualifications & Experience:

o The incumbent should hold a good University degree in any field.
An MBA degree would be an advantage
o Minimum of 12 years experience; 5 of which must be working in or
managing international level organisations
o Ideally business qualified, such as business development, and
supply chain management with exposure to data management
o He or she should have experience in dealing with suppliers and
contractors in a supplier-management environment.
o Commercial awareness of on-line supply-chain technology
environments would be desirable
o Highly effective and proven interpersonal and management skills
are also required. Dynamism and initiative are key requirements
o Knowledge of financial planning, budgeting and general management accounting
o Knowledge of major industrial sectors such as oil and gas, power,
water or transport would be an advantage

Salary Range and Benefits: The position provides an excellent market
based remuneration and benefits package
