1. Support Engineer (Core Networks)

• Good working knowledge and understanding of thr testing methods and tools applicable to the core network support function
• Telecom network knowledge (PSTN, PLMN - GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS, data communication and IP technology
• 3G experience is an added advantage
• Protocols: TCP/IP, SS7(MAP,INAP),FTP,LDAP,CAMEL

2. Support Engineer (Network Management)

• Good experience of UNIX(preferably Solaris) system administration
• Good experience of UNIX Applications supply & support
• Good experience in: Sybase Database Administration, Internet routine, Ip & X25 protocols
• Knowledge of Data protocols (TCP/IP)
• GPRS/MMS/OSS system knowledge
• Experience of integration or supporting UNIX based and datacom products in a live or test plant environment

3. Support Engineer (Charging systems & Service Layer)

• Highly developed telecom knowledge (network elements, fixed/mobile architectures, charging concepts, etc)
• Exceptional knowledge in IN & charging system implemetation
• Williness to work on and gain competence in other IN & charging system technologies
• Developed knowledge in the following fields:
  • Operating Systems: UNIX(Solaris, HP-UX,AIX,LINUX),Windows
  • Databases: Oracle, Sybase, Veritas, MySql, etc
  • Development languages: Java, C/C++, SQL, XML/XSL, JSP, Perl, Shell scrips, etc
  • Protocols: TCP/IP, CORBA, SS7(MAP, INAP), RPC, FTP, HTIP/HTIPS, CAI, LDAP, CAMEL
  • Different platforms knowledge(SUN Solaris, AXE)

4. Support Engineer(Access Networks)

• Understanding the signalling procedures within the BSS system
• Knowledge of the BSC and BTS
• Ability to understand and analyse AXE printouts
• Demonstrated ability to interprete TR solutions and emergency corrections
• Ability to interprete O & M related information retrieved from the system
• Knowldege of the Air and the A-Bis interfaces
• Knowledge of the RBS System

5. Software Supply Administrator

• Advanced knowledge of Information Technology
• Knowledge of at least one Multi-User operatinf system
• Knowledge of TCP/IP
• Cisco certification will be an advantage

6. Software Supply Engineer

• Knowledge of SMO
• Good backround in scripts
• Ability to upgrade and update softwares
• Experioence with Ericsson Telecom platform is an added advatange

General Requirements: In addition to the above specialized requirements, all applicants are required to have the following attributes:

• Bachelors's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics/Computer science/Systems Engineering, or in a similar discipline
• Advanced knowledge of microsoft office suite
• High level of interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work effective within a team
• Ability to take control of situation and show initiative
• High level of understanding in written and spoken english
• Knowledge of Ericsson organisation, subsidiaries and products
• Ability to participate in 24hr emergency (or other) assistance, with interfaces to Global Support organisations as required
• Ability to participate in Customer Request Handling
