Job Title: Area Marketing IT Manager

Reports to:  Area Head of Business Services & Strategy

Principal Accountabilities:
 Lead and drive the implementation of IT initiatives for the Marketing Function (including Brands & Trade) and management of Brand and Trade Area Marketing information support systems to ensure the full realisation of business benefits.

Contribute as a member of the functional leadership team to the development and realisation of integrated business strategies and plans, which ensure the optimal deployment and leveraging of total business capability and the realisation of growth and sustained profitability.

Develop and maintain a Area Marketing IT yearly plan to provide a framework to support and enhance business processes.

Develop, implement and manage the execution of Area Marketing IT projects within agreed resources of time, budget, people and BAT guidelines

Review functional business processes regularly to identify and exploit opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Ensure training is provided to all users for the Area Marketing IT systems as required

Ensure compliance of BAT's IT security policy

Develop the Marketing IT organisation and resources to ensure ongoing capability to meet business needs in the most efficient and effective way.

Keep abreast of all BAT common platforms developments and enhancements
Evaluate and recommend enhancements to Area Marketing support systems
Keep Area Marketing management informed on IT latest developments and possibilities
Develop and maintain a business continuity risk plan
License management of software applications specific to all relevant Area Marketing IT systems.




Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
 Degree or diploma in related discipline minimum 5 - 7 years relevant IT experience, with at least 2 years senior management experience.
Project management diploma and/or experience, Prince 2 preferred.
A broad knowledge of business, preferably in a FMCG company, and an understanding of the impact of IT
Sound knowledge of best practice and leading edge thinking for systems, organisation and processes throughout the value chain.
Knowledge or recent experience of eBusiness developments and delivery required.
Expertise in applying business and data analysis techniques has a practical understanding of systems development methodology. Has insight into application development tools, corporate and industry standards.
Experience of integrated business processes and the functional interdependencies involved.
Expert knowledge in Oracle databases, Business Objects
Strong business consultancy ability and creative thinking together with high credibly when operating outside the IT function. Likely to have fulfilled a consultancy based role or roles at some point in their career.
Highly mature with strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication and influencing skills.
Excellent team working and people development skills.
High level of experience required in managing major change and process enhancement programmes within large companies.
Experienced in business strategy and decision making at a senior management level.
Able to demonstrate meaningful contribution and achievement at all levels of experience.
Experienced in Database modelling, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Systems designing

Ensure a high level of communication with users, Head of Trade Area Marketing, IT team members, Trade Development team, Brand Team, Centre of Excellence in UK in the fullest capacity.
Working Relationships

External
Develop trust and partnership with Distributor and suppliers for reliable service and timely delivery of all accessories in terms of support and services.
